Industry information | national fishery economic statistical bulletin in 2021

 Comprehensively implementing the new development concepts, focusing on the key task of ensuring production and supply, promoting high-quality development of the fishery industry, and maintaining a good development momentum of the fishery economy. Statistics showed that the fishery economy continued to recover throughout the year, the output of aquatic products increased steadily, the consumption market of aquatic products supply and demand were booming, the price soared and fell, the import and export volume of aquatic products increased twice, and the income of fishermen showed a rapid growth.


I. Total fishery economic output value of the whole society


Calculated according to the prices of that year, the total output value of the fishery economy was 2,968,973 billion yuan, among which the output value of fishery was 1,515.863 billion yuan, the output value of fishery industry and construction was 615.516 billion yuan, and the output value of fishery circulation and service industry was 837.593 billion yuan. The ratio of output value of the three industries was 51.1:20.7:28.2, as shown in Figure 1. Among the output value of fishery circulation and service industry, the output value of recreational fishery was 83.556 billion yuan, up by 1.19% year on year.

In the output value of fishery, the output value of Marine fishing is 23,372 billion yuan, the output value of mariculture is 430.17 billion yuan, the output value of freshwater fishing is 33.656 billion yuan, the output value of freshwater aquaculture is 747.375 billion yuan, and the output value of aquatic seedlings is 74,290 billion yuan (the output value of fishery is based on the data of the annual report of the National Bureau of Statistics).


In the fishery output value (excluding seedling species), the output value ratio of seawater products to freshwater products was 45.8:54.2, and that of aquaculture products to fishing products was 81.7:18.3.


Per capita net income of fishermen


According to an investigation into the income and expenditure of nearly 10,000 fishing families, the per capita net income of fishermen in China was 23,442.13 yuan, an increase of 1,604.97 yuan or 7.35 percent over the previous year.


Output and per capita occupancy of aquatic products


In 2021, China's total output of aquatic products reached 66,902,900 tons, an increase of 2.16 percent over the previous year. Among them, the output of breeding was 53.9441 million tons, an increase of 3.26%, and that of fishing was 12.9589 million tons, a decrease of 2.18%. The ratio of the output of breeding products to fishing products was 800.6 to 19.4, as shown in Table 1 and Table 2. The output of seawater products was 33,8772,400 tons, up 2.20% year on year, and that of fresh water products was 33,030,500 tons, up 2.11% year on year. The output ratio of seawater products to fresh water products was 50.6:49.4.


In 2021, the output of deep-sea fishery was 2.246,500 tons, down 3.03 percent year on year, accounting for 3.36 percent of the total output of aquatic products.


In 2021, the per capita consumption of aquatic products in China was 47.36 kg (out of a population of 1,412.6 million), an increase of 0.97 kg or 2.09 percent over the previous year.


Four, aquaculture area


In 2021, the total area of aquaculture in China was 7,009.38 thousand hectares, down 0.38 percent year on year. Among them, the area of mariculture was 2,025.51 thousand hectares, with a year-on-year growth of 1.50%; The area of freshwater aquaculture was 4983.87 thousand hectares, down 1.12% year on year. The area ratio of mariculture to freshwater culture is 28.9:71.1.


V. Number of fishing boats owned at the end of the year


By the end of 2021, there were 520,800 fishing vessels with a total tonnage of 10.015,800 tons. Among them, 35700 motor fishing boats with a total tonnage of 9,774,800 tons and a total power of 18,4520 kilowatts; There were 163,900 non-motor fishing boats with a gross tonnage of 241,000 tons.


Among the motor fishing boats, there are 342,300 production boats with a total tonnage of 8,624,700 tons and a total power of 16,066,200 kW. There were 14,700 auxiliary fishing vessels with a total tonnage of 1.158 million tons and a total power of 2.3858 million kW.


6. Fishery population and fishery employees


In 2021, the fishing population was 16.342,400, a decrease of 865,300 or 5.03 percent over the previous year. Among the fishery population, the number of traditional fishermen was 5.171,600, a decrease of 382,800 or 6.89 percent over the previous year. The number of fishery workers was 11.8463 million, down 4.43 percent or 549,600 from the previous year.


Processing and trade of aquatic products


By the end of 2021, there were 9,202 aquatic products processing enterprises and 8,454 aquatic cold storage units. The total amount of processed aquatic products was 21.250,400 tons, up by 1.64% year on year. Among them, 17,088,100 tons of seawater processed products, up 1.76% year on year; Fresh water processed products reached 4.1623 million tons, up 1.15 percent year on year. The total amount of aquatic products used for processing was 25.226,800 tons, up 1.84 percent year on year. Among them, 19.51 million tons of seawater products were used for processing, down 0.10% year on year; Fresh water products used for processing reached 5,715,700 tons, up 9.04 percent year on year.


According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, the import and export volume of aquatic products in 2021 totaled 9,548,200 tons, with a total import and export volume of 39.949 billion US dollars, up 0.72% and 15.41% respectively year-on-year. Among them, the export volume was 3,80.07 million tons, down 0.28% year on year, the export volume was 21.926 billion dollars, up 15.13% year on year; The volume of imports was 5.7474 million tons and the value of imports was $18.023 billion, up by 1.39% and 15.75%, respectively. The trade surplus was $3.903 billion, up $430 million from the same period last year.


8. Fishery disaster


In 2021, 546,700 tons of aquatic products were lost due to fishery disasters, and 38853 thousand hectares of aquaculture area were affected, resulting in a direct economic loss of 10.649 billion yuan.
