Purpose: The purpose of the activity is to realize the "go out" of Chinese culture and Chinese tea, enhance the soft power of Chinese culture and the awareness of Chinese tea, enhance the international awareness of Chinese tea brands, promote the cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia, and strengthen the people-to-people exchanges between China and Australia. Tea (Culture) Expo will gather products related to tea culture, build a platform for enterprises and communities, let them explore the world of tea culture, and let them have a strong interest in tea culture. You will participate in a variety of activities, including tea art performance, tea set display, tea culture lecture, tea tasting and so on. We have invited well-known experts and scholars in the industry to share the stories and history of tea culture with you, so that you can have a deep understanding of the essence and connotation of tea culture. We expect this four-day event to attract more than 30,000 famous tea culture lovers. Host background

After three years of the epidemic, the 4th Australian Chinese Culture Festival and Tea Fair will reopen at the end of this year and will be held at the Sydney International Convention and Exhibition Center on 23-26 November 2023. With the theme of "Integration of Culture and Tourism, Tea and the World", this event aims to promote tea culture exchanges and cultural trade between China and Australia, so as to help enterprises to "go overseas" and enhance the international competitiveness and popularity of Chinese enterprises and Chinese brands. Gather together hundreds of tea enterprises and cultural travelers from China, Southeast Asia and Australia to display the latest tea varieties, tea ware, tea sets, tea derivative products, painting and calligraphy pictures, handicrafts and other related products. For 4 days with an exhibition area of 5,000 square meters and 150 booths. Opening up to the public is expected to attract more than 20,000 viewers. There will also be various tea activities, such as tea art performance, tea culture forum, tea tasting and tea appreciation exchange, so that visitors can appreciate the unique charm of tea culture.

Review of previous years

The Australia-China Tea Expo has been approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China.

 In November 2011, the first "Australian China Tea Culture Industry Expo" was held in Sydney Convention and Exhibition Center for three days, attracting hundreds of tea enterprises and cultural personages from China and other places to participate in the exhibition. The trade turnover exceeded 30 million US dollars, which is the main project of the Sino-Australian Cultural Year. In November 2014, China and Australia officially signed the Free Trade Agreement, which held the 2014 Australian Chinese Culture Festival and China-Australia Tea Culture Industry Expo just during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Australia.

 

The second " Australian Chinese Culture Festival and Tea Culture Industry Expo

 In November 2018, the second "Australian Chinese Culture Festival and China-Australia Tea Culture Industry Expo" was held in the Sydney International Convention and Exhibition Centre. With the theme of "tea fragrance around the world", the expo is the first large-scale overseas professional tea exhibition in China, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from local overseas Chinese, foreign friends and buyers. Site organization tea industry promotion, tea appreciation, peak BBS and economic and trade docking, business investigation, cultural exchange, market research and other activities, the participants not only tasted the Chinese six big tea, also feel the Chinese tea culture, the Chinese etiquette ceremony, calligraphy and painting art furniture, clothing, such as the charm of Chinese traditional culture, caused a great response in Australia. Nearly 10,000 jin of tea brought by tea enterprises were basically sold out, with a turnover of tens of millions of Australian dollars in three days. Some enterprises also signed cooperation agreements and trade contracts with local overseas Chinese organizations and overseas Chinese businessmen, establishing long-term trade relations.

 

The third Australian Chinese Culture and Tea Culture Industry Expo

In November 2019, the third Australian Chinese Culture and Tea Culture Industry Expo was held in Sydney International Convention and Exhibition Center, with cultural exchange, tea expo, summit forum, trade negotiation, painting and painting exhibition, performance and other sections. There are nearly 100 well-known Chinese tea enterprises and Australian counterparts from Hunan, Fujian, Guangdong, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Beijing, Zhejiang and other seven provinces and municipalities participating in the exhibition, among which there are many Chinese leading enterprises like Hunan Tea Group, nearly 100 standard and characteristic booths, more than 20,000 visitors, rich content and distinctive features.
