Guangdong Modern Marine Ranching Series Promotion Activities
2026 is the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and also a critical year for achieving five-year remarkable changes under the "Hundreds, Thousands and Tens of Thousands Project." The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government attach great importance to the construction of modern marine ranching, treating it as an important lever for deeply implementing the "Hundreds, Thousands and Tens of Thousands Project" and promoting coordinated urban-rural and regional development. They are solidly advancing the construction of the entire modern marine ranching industry chain, accelerating the building of a "blue granary," and creating a "New Guangdong on the Sea."
In recent years, Guangdong has actively practiced the "greater food concept," seeking food from the sea, and the "blue granary" has been continuously consolidated. At present, Guangdong has built the country's largest gravity cage cluster and formed national-level advantageous and characteristic industrial clusters such as golden pomfret, oysters and sea bass. Product output and quality stability lead the country, laying a solid foundation for a leap from "output advantage" to "brand advantage." Guangdong's modern marine ranching is now in a strategic window period for expanding markets and sailing overseas. As a core city of the Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou has Huangsha Aquatic Products Market, one of the three major live fresh aquatic product wholesale markets in China, with business covering the whole country and radiating to some overseas regions. It has built a north-south pattern of "Nansha Cold Chain + Yuhu Cold Chain," with cold storage capacity exceeding 400,000 tons. Combined with airport advantages, it has formed a unique advantage of "radiating across the province and exporting overseas."
To open up the coordinated channel of the entire chain from "production to circulation to consumption," this promotion event was specially held. With the theme of "Linking Production and Sales, Jointly Building a Blue Granary," the event built a regular trade matchmaking platform, promoted precise matching between high-quality products and diverse channels, and helped modern marine ranching leap from "volume-driven products" to "brand breakout."
2026 Guangdong Provincial Aquatic Seed Industry Science and Technology Conference
The event focused on three core tracks: major freshwater aquaculture species in Guangdong, characteristic germplasm for marine ranching, and industrialization of biological breeding. Authoritative scientific research experts and operational heads of leading enterprises were invited to share breeding research achievements and industrial practice experience, providing ideas and paths for the high-quality development of the province's aquatic seed industry.
